We Rock the Spectrum Melawati Mall Grand Opening

On Saturday, October 6th, 2018, We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym celebrated its second location in Malaysia, and fourth international location, We Rock the Spectrum – Melawati Mall! Yusliana Samsuri and Nazrishah Nordin are the amazing owners of We Rock the Spectrum – Melawati Mall. They credit their son, Rafa, for introducing them into the special needs community. As loving as Rafa is, Yusliana has also seen the challenges that come with special needs children, as he struggles in social settings when interacting with other kiddos. He was always considered the “odd one” and Yusliana knew she had to do something to help bridge that gap for Rafa. National Disability Employment Awareness Month: Introducing Victoria!

In honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we’ll be introducing you to some of our ROCKIN’ team members with special abilities. We’d like to kick off our series of introductions with Victoria from We Rock the Spectrum – Lake Charles! Victoria has been working with We Rock the Spectrum – Lake Charles for about 6 months now. Her duties include assisting with opening and closing tasks, organizing areas, wiping down toys and equipment to keep everything as germ free as possible, and greeting We Rockers! Victoria’s favorite part of working at the gym is helping with parties, and working the super fun zip line! Victoria has shown incredible growth since she began working at the gym. She has come out of her shell tremendously and loves talking with families and friends that frequent the gym. She’s always overjoyed when her regulars come in and they remember her name! National Disability Employment Awareness Month!

Since our beginning, We Rock the Spectrum has had the philosophy of full inclusion, whether it be in our gyms across the world or in our corporate offices. We are overjoyed that we have not only created a place for children of all abilities to play and grow together but also a place for those with special needs to a part of our company. We emphasize to all our gym owners the importance of hiring individuals with special needs. October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. Throughout the month, we are going to celebrate by introducing you to some members of our team with special abilities from gyms all over the world! These individuals repeatedly take our breath away as they prove to be some of the most amazing employees we ever have. On Saturday, September 1st, 2018, the We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym franchise celebrated a new SoCal gym location, and the first of the Pomona Valley area, We Rock the Spectrum – Pomona! Katie Haines is the owner of We Rock the Spectrum – Pomona. Katie and her husband, Ted, have two children together, Malia and Xavier. They have credited their son, Xavier, as being their introduction to We Rock the Spectrum, as they were frequent visitors of several locations across Southern California. After their first visit, they were amazed to see Xavier playing with another child, who did not have special needs. Edwardsville Named Regional Training Facility for the Midwest!

We’re proud to announce that We Rock the Spectrum – Edwardsville has been named a Regional Training Facility! Since June of 2017, Jennifer Kilbride Range has made We Rock the Spectrum – Edwardsville a community staple in Madison County. Prior to We Rock, Jennifer had been working as a special eduction teacher for 12 years! As soon as Jennifer learned about We Rock the Spectrum gyms, she knew she needed to be part of the organization. (Jennifer pictured with her family in We Rock attire!) We Rock the Spectrum – Edwardsville will be our Regional training Facility for the Midwest, to train new owners as they become part of the We Rock Family.
