On December 14^th, the New Rochelle community celebrated the opening of We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym! Gail Field, the COO of We Rock the Spectrum, along with Tyler Tanner, Dana Aghassi, and Alondra Vazquez made it out for the celebration and saw a ROCKIN’ turnout. News 12 Westchester even came out to support and capture the event!

Ana Bourdon owns the new We Rock the Spectrum – New Rochelle location. She has a six-year-old boy, who was diagnosed with autism. With a son who loves to run and play, Ana began to seek enjoyable activities for her son. It was then that she stumbled upon We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym and decided to open her own gym for the Westchester County community.  Her goal is to offer other parents and their children, both typical and with special needs, a fun and safe indoor gym to run, jump, play, and climb. But, most importantly, she wants to create a place that would primarily focus on the sensory needs of children and youth on the spectrum. Knowing Ana’s passion for the We Rock the Spectrum mission, we can’t wait to see to the We Rock community grow and Play With A Purpose™ in New Rochelle!

At the gym’s grand opening, Ana and the We Rock team hosted local vendors and held sensory-safe activities, raffles, and face painting for the children. Children were able to use all the sensory-safe equipment available, from the zip line to the calming room.
