This past weekend was exciting for the Fort Myers community as We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym finally opened its doors! The Fort Myers team saw a ROCKIN’ turnout thanks to all the buzz generated by the community and media. Even Gail Field, the COO of We Rock the Spectrum, made it out for the special occasion!

Vandana (Vee) Patel, and her husband, Ankur, own the new We Rock the Spectrum – Fort Myers location. They are the parents of two kids, Aman (9) and Zara (6). Zara was diagnosed with a rare neuro-genetic disease called Angelman syndrome. With Zara on the spectrum, they realized the need for a safe and inclusive environment for kids with all abilities to aid in early intervention. After visiting We Rock the Spectrum in Boca Raton, they fell in love with the gym and decided the Fort Myers community needed one. With Vee’s passion for working with kids, we can’t wait to see to the We Rock community grow and Play With A Purpose™ in Southwest Florida!

Several local businesses and organizations provided food and various special needs resources at our grand opening. From free massages from Massage Heights to free food from Olive Garden, the event was a huge hit for the kids AND parents! Island Coast Pediatrics even sponsored soft play items for our toddler area. Thank you to the Fort Myers community for making the Grand Opening a memorable one!
