The Rockin’ Resource Fair Vendors!

We’re gearing up for the Rockin’ Resource fair this Sunday, July 16th! As promised, the fair will be a chance for you to get connected with amazing special needs and autism resources from all over Southern California.

Our vendors come from a variety of fields providing you with every type of resource you could need.

Special Needs Organizations

1. My Brother Rocks the Spectrum

My Brother Rocks the Spectrum Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps families receive the funding they need to participate in social skills, classes, private therapies and occupational therapy with specialized, sensory swings and equipment.

2. ACT Today!

ACT Today! fills a necessary gap by providing assistance for children with autism spectrum disorder who are unable to access early and intense therapies due to financial constraints.

3. Autism Society

The oldest and largest grassroots organization within the autism community, The Autism Society of America has been improving the lives of all affected by autism for more than 50 years through advocacy, education, information and referral, and support.

4. Special Olympics

The world’s largest sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities, the Special Olympics transforms lives through the joy of sport.

5. Talk About Curing Autism (TACA)

Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to educating, empowering and supporting families affected by autism and strengthening the autism community by connecting families with the professionals who can help them.

6. Autism Live

Autism Live is an interactive webshow providing support, resources, information, facts, entertainment, and inspiration to parents, teachers and practitioners working with children on the autism spectrum.

7. Center for Autism and Related Disorders

CARD provides ABA therapy programs for the treatment of autism and related disorders.

8. Newman Aaronson & Vanaman

The first law firm in Southern California providing representation for children with disabilities, Newman Aaronson & Vanaman has provided assistance to children with disabilities and families with members who are disabled since 1981.

1. CSUN Family Focus Resource Center

The Family Focus Resource Center understands and strengthens families raising children with special needs in the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys through education, advocacy, and family support services.

2. Mychal’s Learning Place

Mychal’s Learning Place encourages each child and adult with developmental disabilities to develop their individual talents and the skills necessary for them to interact and contribute to society.

3. The Help Group

Founded in 1975, The Help Group is the largest, most innovative and comprehensive nonprofit of its kind in the United States serving children, adolescents and young adults with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental delays, abuse and emotional challenges.

4. Canine Companions for Independence

Founded in 1975, Canine Companions for Independence is a non-profit organization that enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships.

5. New York Life

America’s largest mutual life insurance company, New York Life provides insurance, investment, and retirement solutions along with expert guidance to help you achieve lifelong financial well-being.

1. Financial Literacy Institute

The Institute for Financial Literacy is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote effective financial education and counseling.

2. Disability Rights California

Disability Rights California works to advance dignity, equality, independence, and freedom for all Californians with disabilities and use these principles to guide their advocacy work.

3. American Advocacy Group

The mission of American Advocacy Group is to assist with first-class, affordable advocacy services that benefit individuals diagnosed with developmental and physical disabilities and their families.

 

ABA Services and Therapies

1. Applied Behavior Consultants

ABC, Inc. is an Applied Behavior Analysis agency dedicated to providing the most up to date empirically sound interventions in the treatment of autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorder with/out hyperactivity, oppositional defiant disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and other related behavioral disorders/disabilities.

2. Behavior Trend

Behavior Trend, Inc. provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to children, adolescents, adults and their families and guardians who care for them.

3. Inizio Interventions, Inc

With 42 years of experience in providing evidence-based programming to the community, Inizio provides applied behavior intervention services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

4. Autism Movement Therapy

Autism Movement Therapy, Inc is a non-profit organization focused on serving the autism and special needs community through providing a structured movement and music program, as well as providing advocacy and community outreach to create understanding and bring dignity to the spectrum community across the globe.

 

For the Kids!

1. The Friendship Foundation

The Friendship Foundation of the South Bay is a non-profit organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of youth with special needs through social and recreational activities at home, school and in the community.

2. FIRSTSTEPS for Kids

FIRSTSTEPS for Kids specializes in improving the lives of children diagnosed with autism and related developmental and behavioral disorders.

Kreepy Kreatures is a reptile show based in Corona, CA dedicated to sharing the fun and unusual world of reptiles, birds and more. They will have live reptiles at the fair for the kids to interact with!

4. Usborne Books & More

Books for children of all ages that will stir their imagination and make children say, “Read it again, please!”

 

Community Organizations

1. The California Highway Patrol

Providing California with the highest level of Safety, Service and Security, the CA Highway Patrol will be at the fair as a chance to get to know the community — and they’re bringing their police cars!

2, Trader Joe’s Encino

Trader Joe’s is a neighborhood grocery store with amazing food and drink from both around the world and around the corner.
