Long Beach celebrated the grand opening of We Rock the Spectrum – Long Beach this past Saturday on March 4th, 2017. The gym is now open to all residents of Long Beach thanks to Raoul and Adriana Salas who are the proud owners of the gym. Raoul and Adriana are parents to three children. Their daughter, Evelyn, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2013, which began a journey for the Salas in figuring out how to provide Evelyn with the best support and care she needed. A few years later, when their nephew Dean was diagnosed with autism, the Salas family began searching for activities their children and their nephew could participate in together. That’s when they discovered We Rock the Spectrum and fell in love. Immediately, they knew they wanted to be a part of the We Rock family and make a difference in their community. Their grand opening had a great turnout this past week with children of all abilities coming together and enjoying a wonderful day! Children enjoyed the trampoline, zip line, face painting, music, raffles and more. They also were fortunate to have Cal State Long Beach’s sorority, Delta Gamma, join them as they volunteered and played with the children! Long Beach is ready to rock and we can’t wait to see what they have in store this year!
