Create a Christmas painting with the family at Painting with a Twist’s Crazy Reindeer class (open to all ages) Nov. 25 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The instructor will show you step-by-step how to paint a beautiful work of art that you will take home at the end of the class. Bring your favorite bottle of wine or beverage, and they’ll provide the rest!

Join Schilleci’s New Orleans Kitchen Nov. 27 for a festive family Thanksgiving Eve. Chef Brittains’ specials and their traditional menu will be available all day, and any bottle of champagne or wine will be $10 off in continuance of their weekly Wednesday Wine Lovers’ Night.

Spend Thanksgiving morning giving back by participating in the 30th Annual YMCA Run Thru the Woods at 7:45 a.m. The event starts and finishes at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. There are three courses to choose from: 1 mile kids race, 5 mile run, 3 mile run and 3 mile walk. All proceeds benefit the YMCA Annual Giving Campaign.

Looking for a way to occupy the kids while you shop on Black Friday? We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym is hosting a Black Friday Drop Off from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 29. It’s $50 per child and includes turkey arts & crafts, obstacle course fun, popcorn and a movie on the big screen, and more! A free breakfast and snack is provided, but make sure they bring their own lunch and socks.

Robichau’s Jewelry in Panther Creek is celebrating Small Business Saturday, Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be refreshments, giveaways and specials all day long. Not only will you beat the holiday rush and support the community, you’ll discover a unique and personalized experience at their store.
