BALLSTON SPA – At first glance, the We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym is very similar to other indoor kids’ gyms or indoor playgrounds. But it’s a welcoming and unique play space for children with autism, special needs or neuro-typical development.

There are swings, a climbing apparatus, a trampoline and even a zip line. But what makes “We Rock the Spectrum” different is that staff are either trained to assist children with special needs or they are the parents of children with special needs.

The activities and environment are considered sensory safe and some of the equipment you’ll find on the Route 50 site in Ballston Spa is identical to what occupational therapists use.

There are 70 other We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gyms around the country – including three here in New York State.

The grand opening in Ballston Spa is Saturday and it’s open seven days a week, moving forward.
