North County STL Named As Regional Training Facility

January 8, 2021 | In: Gym Owners

We are excited to announce that We Rock the Spectrum – North County STL is the newest Regional Training Facility, and its ROCKSTAR owner is Celeste (C.C.) Brown! In its two years of serving the community, WRTS – North County STL has seen tremendous success in its programs and private facility rentals. This has been exceptionally true throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. To get the full story with all the fun details, we sat down (virtually!) with C.C. to find out more about her and how she has been a powerhouse leader in her community and within the We Rock family. Here’s what she had to say:

1. How long have you been open?

We Rock the Spectrum Kid’s Gym – North County STL has been open since March 24, 2018.

2. What have you done with your gym that you have found the most success with?

North County, St. Louis has long been lacking play facilities for all kids and sensory play experiences for our special needs families. I reached out to service providers, educators, and treatment staff and have been very happy with the response; especially during the pandemic.

3. What does it mean for you to be announced as one of the new Regional Training Facilities for WRTS?

Being named as one of the new Training Facilities has been huge! We’ve always labored with the absolute mission of making sure quality sensory play remains available to everyone. This honor is validation that our efforts and dedication have not gone unnoticed.

4. What do you see next in store for you and your gym?

I look forward to our gym growing back to the party hub we were becoming pre-pandemic, and adding more day-to-day services for our special needs families.

5. Looking back on your time as an owner and member of the We Rock family, what has been your favorite memory?

My favorite memory was the day a friendship formed between a special needs client and a typical-developing client.

6. While you have found areas of success during COVID-19, the pandemic presents its challenges for everyone, especially small business owners. How have you approached and overcome these obstacles?

My mindset during the pandemic has been to survive for the absolute benefit of our community. This can only be done by doing everything we can possibly do. We’ve enhanced the relationships that we already had, added some that were already being considered, and pivoted to consider others!

Well done, C.C.! Even through some of the biggest obstacles, our gym owners are proving how impactful and influential their facilities are. We Rock the Spectrum Worldwide is proud to be a provider of sensory-safe – and COVID-19 safe play for children of all abilities. Inspired to bring a We Rock the Spectrum gym to your area?
