So many gym owners, so many stories to share. In today’s blog post, we share the inspirational story of Gail Nobile Field. Gail is the co-gym owner and operator of We Rock the Spectrum Boca Raton. Gail and her husband, John share the responsibilities as gym owners. John supported Gail’s dream so much so that he quit his full-time job to build the gym himself. In addition to being a gym owner, Gail is also leading the East Coast Regional Training Center. The East Coast Regional Training Center allows new gym owners located on the East Coast to be properly trained and have a place to go for resources, advice, and mentorship.

Gail has been rockin as a gym owner for the past year and we couldn’t be more proud to have her represent We Rock the Spectrum in Boca Raton, as well as leading the East Coast Regional Training Center. As with many of our gym owners, Gail lives, breathes, eats, sleeps, We Rock. Her passion and love for helping others is bigger than life itself. Learn more about this inspiring woman below.

1. How did you hear about WRTS?

I simply performed a Google search. I searched all terms, including indoor play for kids with autism, kids with autism, to kids on the spectrum. My son, Jayson was diagnosed with Autism at two years old and I was desperately seeking an outlet for him. I used to take him to a gym called Monkey Joes. However, I didn’t notice much a difference. So that’s when I began my search for something more. When I visited the We Rock the Spectrum Tarzana website, I knew that I had hit the jackpot.

2. What’s your professional background?

I’m a stay at home mom and have three wonderful kids whom I adore. They are my inspiration. I have always been involved with their school and have volunteered throughout the years. My family also owned a restaurant and so I always found myself working with family and supporting my own family.

4. How do you see WRTS benefiting your community?

It has made such a huge impact in the Boca Raton, Florida community. I see it firsthand with the parents who visit us. It allows the mothers to take some time off while also giving their children an outlet that is safe and supportive. For example, my son Jayson wouldn’t even step foot in the gym in the beginning but now he plays with all the other children and his social skills have improved dramatically. He is just one example out of many. The benefit to the community as a whole has been tremendous and keeps growing.

First and foremost, go with your heart. If you know you want to do it, then just do it. Don’t hesitate. You must be passionate if you want to be a successful a gym owner. However, the passion seems to be the common thread among parents with children with autism – it comes so naturally to them. It’s part of who they are.
