We’re proud to announce that We Rock the Spectrum – Edwardsville has been named a Regional Training Facility!

Since June of 2017, Jennifer Kilbride Range has made We Rock the Spectrum – Edwardsville a community staple in Madison County. Prior to We Rock, Jennifer had been working as a special eduction teacher for 12 years! As soon as Jennifer learned about We Rock the Spectrum gyms, she knew she needed to be part of the organization.

We Rock the Spectrum – Edwardsville will be our Regional training Facility for the Midwest, to train new owners as they become part of the We Rock Family. To commemorate her gym being named a new regional training facility we asked her a couple questions to see how things are going!

What type of events or activities have you been a part of or hosted recently?

We hold all sorts of classes and events at the gym, from Yoga, Art Clubs, and Kindermusik! We also recently hosted a Daddy & Donuts Day where local fathers could get together and share their journey of being special needs parents.

As for something amazing we got to be a part of, April 21st was Autism Awareness Day at Bush Stadium and my son, Scott, got to throw the first pitch in the Cardinals game against the Cincinnati Red’s!

What have you done with your gym that you’ve had the most success with?

I don’t think I can pick one part of the business that has been more successful than another. We have worked hard to make everyone feel comfortable in the gym whether they are there for a party, Open Play or a class.

How have you seen We Rock the Spectrum benefiting your community?

Parents are able to discover resources that they were not aware of before! Our community has grown closer together as they know they always have a safe place to talk to myself and other parents going through a similar journey. Thanks to the gym, we’ve been able to generate more awareness and fit the need of a place all children of all abilities can play together in Madison County.

What are three words that would best describe your experience being a gym owner?

When I think about some words that would describe my experience as being a We Rock owner~ humility, pride and joy. I am humbled to be providing an outlet for the families and children in my area. I am so incredibly proud to be able to provide this resource for the families in our community and I am so filled with joy when I watch the little ones enjoying the gym and learning to play side by side with other little ones regardless of their abilities.

What would you say to anyone interested in Opening a gym?

If you are thinking about opening a We Rock in your community it is important to know your community. Make as many connections as you can with professionals in your community. Be yourself, be genuine be a good listener.
